Based on analysis of existing data, feedback from customers, and thought leadership insights, ThreatX is rolling out updates to offer advanced Edge Caching, DDoS Mitigation and Botnet Detection.
Back in April during the announcement of our Series A funding, we promised to continue our quest to provide the very best in application security technology. And over the past four weeks, the ThreatX team has been hard at work doing just that. Based on analysis of existing data, feedback from customers, and insights from thought leaders in the space, we have completed several product feature enhancements to ensure our customers are backed by the strongest, most precise WAF on the market. Advanced Edge Caching and Site Performance Tuning
Slower back-end application issues and content-heavy web properties are negatively impacting application performance. ThreatX now offers additional caching capabilities to speed up app performance, including:
- Static and dynamic resource caching
- Image optimization: stripping meta-data, dynamic resizing, recompression
- Small resource inlining
- Manual cache purging
Enhanced Site Profiling for DDoS Mitigation
We have enhanced our already robust site profiling capabilities for early and rapid detection of Long Running Queries to help ensure we catch a key exploit vector of a layer 7 DDoS attack, long before it becomes an issue. This new dynamic profiling quickly identifies slower inputs across your web applications and automatically sets extra controls to mitigate risk.
New Bot Detection and Mitigation Capabilities
Based on top enhancement requests from ThreatX customers and industry trends, ThreatX has added three new capabilities to better identify and neutralize malicious bot activity:
1. Tar-pitting: Will slow down any high-intensity, repetitive requests that may match a malicious profile (like a bot!) and mitigate performance impacts while allowing further interrogation.
3. Bot Site Profiling: Dynamically deploys custom rules based on your site profile to quickly catch malicious bots, scrapers, crawlers and content spammers.
